Summer 2021 moving forwards
From Sunday 25th July we will be starting our new service pattern. This is another stage in our emerging from lockdown. We know that there is a whole range of feelings and emotions as we come out of lockdown and that some people have not been inside the church building for 16 months. We also have a small, yet beautiful building. With this in mind we are going to continue with some safeguards and reduce gradually.
As church family we have a responsibility and duty of care towards one another so we pray that you will work with us in making our church a welcoming, safe place for all.
Philippians 4:2 says "Everyone should look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others."
From 25th July we will...
- not require booking at services.
- still be seated on a first come first serve basis.
- ask you to wear a face mask for entering, moving and exiting the building (and encourage people to keep them on for the service).
- masks to be worn for singing (we'll begin with 2 songs per service)
- keep doors open for ventilation
- offertory basket & contactless giving to be at the back, rather than passed around.
- continue to sign the peace
- receive Holy Communion in one kind (bread) only, taking it back to your seats to consume.
We want to provide a safe space for those who might feel more anxious so at 2 of our services we will hold tighter safeguards and release more slowly. In addition to the above, at our Sunday 8am & Wednesday 11am services we will...
- continue with social distancing (using every other pew)
- not sing (they are both said services anyway)
- masks to be worn for the duration.
Over time, and taking into account the current situation, we hope to reduce these safeguards further. Please do bear with us as we navigate this together with the aim of keeping each other safe as we come together as God's family in Euxton.
